Borderlands has been overly hyped the past few months, so I've been meaning to play it since it's release. Luckily, so was Mike (Solid), so we stopped by our local Blockbuster and picked it up. Borderlands, belive it or not, plays more like an RPG than an FPS, which is refreshing. What is also refreshing is the game's art style, which adopts a hand drawn look, in a world that plays out like a post apocoliptic texas ghost town. The game gushes with culter, but you'll find it hard to fall in love with the characters, be it an obvious Gir clone, or a blind, one legged old man that lives on his stoop. That being said nothing really about the game is lovable, and I would imagine that it would be down right tedious to play withoue a friend. Still it's nowhere near a bad game. Mike and I sat for a good six straight hours and played this game. The problem is I has absolutly no urge to do it again. Still that's most likly just me, having played and loathed games like fallout 3 and oblivion. So if you're into RPG's and FPS' give borderlands a try.
